Handsome Plum scent with cozy woods
Finally, the oil version of Side Effect inspired by Initio has arrived and the wait was worth it. Misk Shoppe hit a home run with this because this might smell better than the OG. This has a nice plum vibe that is smooth and sweet and somewhat boozy. The plum vibe you get is really mature and has no astringent tendencies when you eat plums. The saffron, cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg helps with the smoothness of the plum vibe created from the jasmine and rose. This vibe is really really nice. The touch of pink pepper is fantastic. Nexrt is the subtle oud-Agarwood note that smells like a golden cigar. I don't know if this was intentional but it smells darn good with the boozy plum vibe. Misk Shoppe's inspiration of Initio does not change the original scent. There is more depth to it with the added golden shiny oud, cedar, sandalwood, tonka bean and a nice white amber which is similar to White Amber Maliki. This type of amber has a cooling-misty aromatic smell with a subtle 'white' sweetness. If you get a chance to try this type of amber you will see what I am talking about. In fact, it is similar to the Misk Shoppe's Musk Al Risala perfume which is light and airy and flows like water.
Overall this has the same DNA as the OG but the depth in this is incredible. The Oud addition and extra woods inclusion was brilliant. It adds to the rich texture of this composition. This inspiration of Inition is not linear but is now multi layered in scent. The oud makes this unique with its rich buttery and toasty texture. I layered this with the OG and the smell was phenomenal. Nice projection for 2-3 hours and quite a bit of staying power after that. The oud really helps with projection and lasting power..10+hrs. This is a crowd pleaser with no offensive notes. I received several compliments about the magnificent smooth plum vibe with the oud in the background.
