Bal d'Afrique inspired by Byredo

- 1820-12
A luminous citrus–floral vetiver that celebrates late-1920s Paris and its love affair with African art, music, and dance. Bal D’Afrique opens with sunlit grapefruit, lemon, and blackcurrant, flows into a chic heart of iris, cyclamen, jasmine, and a touch of Moroccan cedarwood, then settles into a sensual base of white musk, cedarwood, and vetiver. The vibe is joyous, stylish, and unmistakably modern.

A Masterpiece
This is an absolutely stunning perfume to add to your fragrance collection. Bal D' Afrique (BAD) has been described as a citrus freshie but it goes beyond as a fresh aromatic. You smell the citrus which is lemon and bergamot but in BAD it is engineered different. It just smells different, feels different but it smells divine. The vetiver in this is so soft and strong while being sweet. Then comes the floral arrangement which gives BAD a misty and moist effect. There is violet, jasmine, and orange flower which is standard but there is also tagetes and cyclamen which I think give this a dreamy effect. Its gotta be the tagetes and cyclamen that gives this THAT different feel. Somehow the floral arrangement really sets the tone because it balances all the other notes: cedar, musk, ambroxan and syrupy cedar notes. BAD is also a shape shifting fragrance going from Lemon meringue pie to coconut and vanilla soda or creamy vanilla bean greek yogurt. Add in some fresh morning dew with some humidity and you have a simple but sophisticated fragrance. BAD also has that fresh misty effect. This is a perfect fragrance for men and women that has mass appeal and is unique. BAD is a signature scent. There is nothing on the market that smells like this.
This is a very S-T-R-O-N-G fragrance so you will get your money's worth and more. The performance, sillage and projection is insane. This stuff was on my clothes the next day! I call BAD a n exotic freshie with creamy, moist, citrusy undertones. Oh, and don't forget the Black Currant which seals the deal bringing a smooth and dark berry smell. Expect compliments with this soothing and powerful fragrance
