This perfume is FUN. It is a P-O-W-E-R-F-U-L Middle Eastern-French woody aromatic scent with a dynamic Lemon-Incense-Nutmeg-Iris combination surrounded by potent buttery oud some caramel, vetiver, and mandarin orange. You will really love the lemon, nutmeg and incense but the start of the show in this is the woody notes. The woody notes in here are similar to what is in Oud for Greatness but smoother. It seems like Lily of the valley helps with smoothing some of the rough edges. That rough scratchy edge to the oud has been transformed into a woody aromatic powder. The wood is still potent and has an element of calm patchouli but its smoother. Instead of interfering with the other notes it blends in and blends in well. When you take the cap off the perfume you get an initial blast of oudhy notes followed by the lemon, nutmeg, Iris and incense. This is the hallmark of the perfume and stays throughout the development as it gives a cooling effect. Later on that musk and mandarin orange appear which will make you thirsty. With Atlantis you will get lost in the craftiness of this perfume. While it has complexity you will appreciate the unique approach in creating this fragrance. Atlantis is potent and the sillage is crip and enormous especially with the freshness of the Lemon, incense and nutmeg. This is a safe blind buy and it lasts and projects forever…10+ hours on skin next day on clothes. As Atlantis dries down it forms a cashmere wool presence with cotton candy highlights.
