1001 Arabian Nights

1001 Nights is a straight-up uncompromising oud fragrance, there is no surrender or no retreat with this. I prefer to call it a butter oud where the smell is very rich but without the skankiness and smokiness. Usually I find the butter oud scents to have a nice dose of creamy sandlewood, citrus, white musks-white ambers, specific white forals, vanilla, to achieve the buttery smell. I find these perfumes to be be very very fresh and extremely aromatic while having mass appeal because of how seducing their are. Like I said, these "buttery" ouds have amazing texture and depth. 1001 Arabian Knights is one of them. It came out before Oud For Greatness and created a stir in Middle eastern perfumery. I first encountered this in 2014 and just like the Oud for Greatness hype ,1001 Arabian Nights had the same effect but with iterations in oil perfumes and then EDP Sprays. 1001 is basically one of many blueprint for these buttery ouds as this scent is quite common in middle eastern and Indian perfumery. Misk Shoppe has another buttery type oud called Oudh Nouf but with some crystal like metallic notes. If you can get your hands on this get it. If you like Metallique by Tom Ford you will love Oudh Nouf. Then there are the endless categories of White Oudhs which expand the category of buttery oudhs. There smooth, rich and aromatic nature make the perfect compliment when layering with BLUE freshies: Armani Acqua-Di Gio, Dolce and Gabbana-The One, Blue De Chanel, Missoni Wave etc. These oudhs add more depth. 1001 is potent but smooth. There is aloe vera, sweet white musk, lemon grass and beautiful freesia that makes this unique. The lemon grass kind of has this viibe you find with coconut curry and lemon grass. A chef kiss vibe....Nice. 1001 is not overpowering with the spice. The Misk Shoppe gives you just enough to wash down with crisp orange citrus, The aloe vera note adds to the freshness. 1001 is special. As for the SLP, (Sillage, Longevity and Performance) this is a 10/10. It projects easily beyond 2-3 hours and lasts all day on skin 8+ hours. This is potent fuel as it easy overpowers most EDP spray perfumes. When you apply this one of the first thing you experience is a powerful exotic, fresh and sweet aroma that sets the tone for the entire day. 1001 is no joke.
