Worth it. Light citrus and floral over clean musk — gentle and pure. Clean, comforting
After much debate and hate I decided to try Musk Therapy (MT)! Boy, I wasI in for a suprise because after so much criticism and nay sayers taking every shot possible @ MT exceeded my expectations! This is really great stuff. It's even greater if you layer it with Misk Shoppe's Altahair inspired by Parfums De Marly...but we'll get to that later. So, the hate for Musk Therapy must be with the Black Currant note which is listed as Cassis. As you know, some have labeled 'Black Currant-Cassis' as the cat funk note. I get it. Some perfumes have a tendency for Black Currant to dominate and it ruins everything. However, in this version it is expertly engineered to a semi sweet green earthy note with tea overtones. so there won't be any smelling like cat stories. Moving on from Black currant Musk Therapy packs a potent 1-2-3 punch with mandarin, bergamot and Hedione to give a citrus smell with extended depth. Hedione is a floral scent that brings fruity, fresh, citrus vibes and a suprising jasmine and vanilla cake frosting smell! Hedoine is one of those super notes I guess. It gets more interesting with some White Sandlewwod and Magnolia which presents a pleasant powdery feel. Almost like pixie dust. To finish it off you get a double dose of generic musk and a powerful ethereal white musk. The sillage is incredible with the projections lasting for about 4 hours. This really perfoms well and lasts throughout the day. It will be a safe blind buy as it will have mass appeal with some sophistication. It is musky but sweet. It's a liitle green, fresh, powdery, dusty and very very good. Getting back to layering with Misk Shoppe's Althair which is a boozy kind of gourmand fragreance. It mixes so well with Musk Therapy!
