I heard a description of a scent that had notes of saffron and cinnamon. It sounded nice, so I went on the web and searched. My search brought me here to the Miske Shoppe and Kalamat was the only scent that had both plus vanilla which is a scent I like. I took a chance and bought a small bottle. I am very happy and glad I found it! I wear it and put it in my diffuser. I had a small problem opening the bottle and removing the plastic applicator as it was very tight. I spilled some the first time, but the more I open it the easier the applicator comes out.
The Misk Shoppe’s concentrated oil (CPO) version of Kalemat is the best on the market. Other versions of this are loaded with either too much anise, clove and cinnamon and sometimes all three. Some are just straight saffron and cinnamon bombs and way to potent to enjoy until 6-8 hours later. Misk Shoppe’s version reminds you of fresh buttermilk pancakes topped with vanilla frosting, Mr’s Butterworth syrup while sprinkled with dashes of cinnamon and saffron. This version of Kalemat is very rich, potent and heavenly. Getting the sandlewood to smell like pancakes in this fragrance is just C-R-A-Z-Y. That’s how good this smells while not being too sweet. This is a lighter version that works while still being potent. You can use this for layering to create a unique smell. Kalemat will get you compliments for the uniqueness it brings. It is very strong but dries down super nice.
