Kudos to Misk Shoppe for this classic. This is a must buy. It is sophisticated, SUPER DUPER NICHE a nd leather scent that goes in a different direction with some crazy smelling saffron. The saffron in this is ALIEN. It smells so good and way different than the saffron used in today's leather scent and perfumes. It smells like some aged private reserve class dark wine. The saffron used is similar to the saffron in Fragrance World's 'Amber Saffron' fragrance. However, this saffron is better. It has character, depth and is mass appealing. You will enjoy this. Journey Eau Rihla (JER) also uses raspberry which is typical in some popular leather scents but it does not resemble those formulations: Tuscan Leather, Ombre Leather, Black Saffron etc. This different. When blended with the alien saffron it is like cranberry dressing you put in your dinner rolls for thanksgiving, Then there is IRIS. Man, Misk Shoppe did their thing with the iris note. It really is a genius addition giving a little Dior Homme Intense-Prada L'Homme-Givenchy Gentlemen Reserve Privee DNA but not too much Iris. The leather is really smooth with a little earthy animalic note that is tamed by the cedar, vanilla and musk, Oh yeah, you can't forget the pink pepper accentuating the whole fragrance. This is a sophisticated fragrance that is different than anything on the market..TRUTH. This is a niche joint that everybody can enjoy. It is a rich and heavy oriental scent so it projects and performs like crazy. The drydown is intense as it gives you vibes of ice cram, saffron sueded-wine or buttery velvet oud. You know how Misk Shoppe does it....10+ hours of performance on the shin and clothes. Okay, I just woke up and it is still on my skin and I can smell it on my clothes. :) Beast mode fragrance here nothing less. Man, I gotta find out more on that saffron. Is it Grade A Iranian Saffron? You might have to the Misk Shoppe on this. Hey Misk Shoppe, answer the phone..LOL
